Darivarger School
Darivarger is a school in southwest Haiti with over 300 students from kindergarten to philo (12th grade). Give Hope supports the school which offers free or affordable education within the rural community. Our support helps provide teachers, books, materials, nutrition and access to education.
University & Trade
We believe that education changes trajectories. We help students further their education beyond high school through a scholarship program. Together, with Shop Hope we have been able to help 30 students further their education with more in waiting. Students in our scholarship program maintain satisfactory grades. Our students have studied medicine, nursing, sewing, truck driving, computer science, farming, business, auto mechanics, solar technology and engineering. We currently have students enrolled in Haiti, Ghana, Dominican Republic, and the U.S. If you are interested in providing a scholarship to change a life, click here.
Students in Haiti
We emphasize reuniting students with family when possible. Sometimes families need help to provide their child an education. Students in our program formerly lived and attended school at Cambry Student Village. All students have been reunited or living with a foster family. We help families enroll students in their community school by providing help with tuition, books, and uniforms.
Sowers Academy
Sowers Academy is located in Medie, Ghana. Sowers aims to keep school costs affordable while providing quality education. Sowers is seen as a “beacon of light” withing the community. We invest in the infrastructure of Sowers Academy so that students will have affordable access to education, a safe place to learn, a caring environment, and the tools they need for success. Libraries & Stem Labs
Imagine never having the opportunity to open a book. That’s the reality for most students in the areas we serve. In Ghana we have built 4 school libraries, 3 children’s libraries in medical clinics and donated over 20,000 books.
S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) has become a focus for schools in Ghana. We help to equip schools with a S.T.E.M. lab and innovative tools to achieve school goals in S.T.E.M.
Teacher Development
Teachers are the key to education. We believe in empowering teachers and encouraging a growth mindset. We provide teacher training in literacy, science, resources, math, and more in Ghana.
